Natural Alternative Holistic Chiropractor in Fresno

Welcome to the best alternative holistic health care blog in Fresno! I am really excited to stay more closely connected with you on important health issues and concerns. The easy access to unlimited amounts of information on health via the web can both help and confuse when making important health care decisions. My goal here is to help keep you well informed of what is real and useful in the health fields while at the same time helping to dispel current medical myths and nonsense.

Each blog will cover a topic based on what is current in the news, on new medical research findings, on old time tested truths that may have been forgotten, or on topics answering your specific questions.

For this first topic I would like to describe some of the services offered at my clinic here in Fresno.

First and most important is our health care philosophy which is that your body does the healing. No treatment can cure you, it can only assist your body in doing it's job, which is to keep you healthy. Symptoms are both good and bad at the same time. They are bad because they make you uncomfortable or miserable. They are good because it means your body is attempting to fix the problem. Pain hurts, but it also serves a productive purpose, to prevent you from further damaging the injured area by taking things easy or going to bed and resting. Pain only becomes dysfunctional when the problem it is indicating doesn't heal after the normal amount of time required. In other words, your body is missing something it needs when the symptoms become chronic or recurring. This usually indicates one of four things:

1) There is an underlying structural condition that needs appropriate physical rehabilitation possibly including things such as more rest, physical support like taping or casting, stretching, chiropractic adjustments, exercises, etc.

2) There is an underlying nutritional deficiency condition that needs specific treatment through one or more of the following: dietary change, vitamin/supplement therapy, or oxygen therapy.

3) There is an underlying toxicity condition that needs specific treatment through homeopathic remedies to wake up your own body's ability to detox and heal, herbal remedies to help your immune system kill unwanted microorganisms and parasites, or chelating agents to help your excretory system to get rid of heavy metals and other industrial poisons stored in your body tissues. Also, certain foods themselves can be poisons to your body if you become allergic to them or if your system fails to digest them well.

4) There is an underlying emotion or memory that is physiologically stuck in your body which is causing physical dysfunction whenever your personal stress levels rise. One of the ways to most quickly support your body to heal from this type of situation is through the cutting edge Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) that we use here at my clinic in Fresno.

Notice that drugs, medications, and surgery are not on this list. These three are treatments of last resort. Of the three, only surgery can help your body correct a problem. For example, if you have a tumor, cutting it out may be necessary to prevent your condition from worsening. But really, even in that case, the underlying cause has not been corrected. Only the end result of the condition has been corrected. Another example is surgery to correct a cleft palate, a birth defect where there is a hole between the mount and the nasal cavity. But again, the surgery didn't correct the underlying cause, which was a deficiency, toxicity, or genetic mishap during egg/sperm production or fertilization, or during embryonic or fetal development.

Medications and drugs can lesson your symptoms and at best, can buy your body time and rest so that it can heal. But if you need the medicine for the rest of your life in order to be symptom free, then it isn't really correcting the underlying cause. Remember, there is no such thing as a drug or medication deficiency. Vitamins by definition are vital for successful human life. The former are not vital and in most cases not necessary.

The natural therapies listed above are all temporarily needed until your body heals the underlying condition. At some point you will be able to stop the natural therapies and continue to be symptom free. But many choose to continue certain lifestyle changes or natural therapies for reasons of prevention, more optimal health, or for improved work, play, or sports performance.
